Puttin’ on the Glitz was started as Tender Twists in 1992 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Beginning as a small craft business, we offered whimsical brass charm earrings, necklaces and bracelets. As the demand grew for the jewelry, custom-designed sterling silver and Swarovski crystal jewelry were later added.
The idea for the Puttin’ On The Glitz boutique originated when one of store owner Joanne Heuss’ daughters got engaged. She quickly realized that planning a wedding on a reasonable budget was more difficult than it sounded. Using her established contacts in the jewelry industry, and after attending the National Bridal Show in Chicago, she found that she could get the same high-quality merchandise as the major bridal retailers but for a drastically lower price. Knowing that other mothers and brides-to-be would be as happy as she was to save money while planning the wedding of their dreams, Puttin’ On the Glitz opened on June 1, 2008!
Our goal is to provide you the largest selection of high-quality jewelry and gifts for the lowest prices. We understand how important it is to be able to have the wedding of your dreams, without breaking the bank. We also promise personal, friendly service. In fact, due to our exceptional service, we were specially selected to carry the exclusive line of TRU invitations from Carlson Craft.
In December 2008, Puttin’ On The Glitz relocated and expanded. In addition to our wide selection of bridal accessories, we added fine gift items for everyday. We are the area’s premier retailer of Miche Bag interchangeable handbags. We also carry great products like SwitchFlops, Primal Elements soaps, Swan Creek Candles, Dolly Mama stationery and barware, Lady Jayne Stationery, Bee Bar solid lotion, and much more. Our product lines are continually expanding as we add new merchandise.

I’m sorry, we don’t have any more. That one has been retired for at least a year and a half. The company must have found a case back in October and we got them. They sold out in about 2 weeks! I don’t expect to ever see them again…

Just recently discovered Miche Bags and Shells and LOVE them, but also recently lost house and all contents to fire.
